Who am I?
- I'm The Open Source BIM Manager and am the creator behind this Dynamo-Script. I work in the digitalization of the AEC Industry with a multi-year experience. German norms and rules are a good thing to have, but sometimes can be annoying. As Revit does not have the ability to calculate quantities according to VOB, i created this handy script collection.
FAQs:
- Whats the procedure? After purchase, you'll receive a link to download the Dynamo Script. From there, you can start using it in Revit. No set-up required, other than defining your custom parameter in your Revit project.
- Why should i use Dynamo? Dynamo is a tool that helps you automate tasks in Revit and do things you otherwise could not do. It's really helpful to automate boring or otherwise not solvable parts in the design process.
- Are there any additional costs? No, if you have a Revit License, you also have access to Dynamo and can therefore use the script.
- Is it worth it? Definitely! If you assume the time spent, doing the calculation of the areas of the openings manually and add the fact that this is procedure is very prone to error, things get clear. Digital, automated and quality-checked processes are a crucial part company in AEC.
- Still questions? If you're still unsure or need further assistance, send me an mail to osbimmanager@gmail.com. I'll get back to you there.
